A system is a set of interacting components working together to achieve a goal. Thinking in systems is a useful lens across engineering, biology, economics, and organisations, since behaviour at the level of the whole often can’t be explained by looking at parts in isolation. This note is a hub for related disciplines like Systems Engineering, Distributed Systems, and Simulation Modelling.
